Prior to founding Florida Atlantic, he served as President of First Equity Corp of Florida from its inception in 1969 until 1993.
After the sale of First Equity in 1993, he was elected Chairman Emeritus of that firm.
Mr. Pareira has been a director of several public companies, a member of the District Business Conduct Committee (Southeastern United States) of the National Association of Security Dealers as well as a founding Director of the Miami Society of Financial Analysts and a member of the Bond Club of New York.
Mr. Pareira has served as a director and on the finance committee of the Jessie Trice Community Health Center in Miami which oversees several medical centers serving the medically underserved.
He has also served as a Director and Finance Committee Chairman for Camillus House and Aspira of Florida.
Mr. Pareira received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1960 and attended New York University Graduate School of Business.
