Preston is a Director & Head of Trading at CELF Investment Advisors Ltd.
He was responsible for Carlyle’s synthetic and structured finance investments in Europe.
Prior to joining Carlyle, he was Head of Proprietary Loan Trading at ABN Amro Bank N.V.
where he also set up the LCDS trading business, the largest of its kind in Europe.
He managed over €2bn of leveraged finance and synthetic exposure.
He was a member of the ISDA working committee set up to create the European LCDS standardized contract.
Prior to this, he was a Portfolio Manager at Gordian Knot Ltd.
where he was one of the founding managers of the Theta CDS fund.
He is a holder of the CFA Charter and holds an M.A.
from Hertford College, the University of Oxford.
