Mr. Art A. Greenberg, CPA, is a Managing Director & Senior Tax Advisor at Green Courte Partners LLC.
Prior to joining GCP in June 2003, he was Executive Vice President of Equity Group Investments and Equity Financial & Management Company where he oversaw the analysis of the tax consequences of mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, and negotiated and structured new ventures.
He was involved in the structure, sponsorship and initial public offerings of Equity Residential, Equity Office Properties Trust, and Manufactured Home Communities, Inc. (currently known as Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc.) which are or were all New York Stock Exchange listed REITs.
He has advised these companies and others regarding a wide range of tax planning, structuring, and compliance matters.
Mr. Greenberg is a member and past Co-Chairman of the Government Relations Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
He is a member and past Chairman of the Tax Policy Committee and is a member and former Chairman of the Research Committee of the Real Estate Roundtable.
He is a past Director of the Real Estate Tax Institute.
