V4C is an active manager which targets buyout investments in established companies, particularly in the services sector including outsourced services, healthcare and production activities that are closely integrated into a value chain. They look for businesses serving local communities, where the local delivery of the service or product is essential. Their geographic focus is on Poland and the other EU member states of Central Europe. They generally do not invest in start-ups, restructurings or turnarounds. The firm typically invests EUR 15-25 million in buyout or growth capital transactions, often in partnership with owners or managers of the target businesses. They seek situations that offer the potential for consolidation and/or buy-and-build opportunities either in a domestic market or across the region. They look for opportunities to build the business, organically and by subsequent acquisitions, with the aim to create sector leaders. They prefer to take controlling stakes in their investee companies, although they will take minority positions in syndicates of like-minded investors or where they have an ability to strongly influence the business and their liquidity, and seek to invest in profitable companies with a significant or leading position in their niche.
