Ms. Christine Ervin is an Advisor at Pivotal Investments LLC.
As first President and CEO of the U.S.
Green Buildings Council, she led its growth from a start-up nonprofit to an influential coalition of 4,500 companies and organizations.
During her tenure, the LEED® green building rating system became the defacto standard for high performance buildings in the U.S.
and the Greenbuild™ conference and expo became a thriving vehicle for driving "green" into the mainstream market.
As Assistant Secretary of Energy for President Clinton, Christine oversaw nearly $1 billion in annual investments for clean technologies in transportation, buildings, manufacturing and renewable energy.
Key initiatives included the President's Climate Change Action Plan, the High Performance Buildings project, the ENERGY STAR™ partnership with EPA, Million Solar Roofs and the nation's first center for sustainable communities.
Previously, she was Director of Oregon's Department of Energy, a project director at the World Wildlife Fund, and led executive budget policy for the State of Missouri.
