Ms. Ford, a Certified Public Accountant and former auditor, joined CalSTRS in 2004.
Prior to this, she served as part of the executive management staff at the Department of Aging.
She has also worked as the Chief Accounting Officer for the California Department of Education, Manager of Financial Reporting for the California Lottery and as auditor for both the Office of Auditor General and the California State Assembly's Rules Committee.
Ms. Ford holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento.
Outside of CalSTRS, Ms. Ford serves as a commissioner for the City of Roseville Personnel Board and as Treasurer of a nonprofit child care board.
She also volunteers as a tax preparer for the elderly.
