Andringa is Chief Medical Officer for Wellmark, Inc., Founder of HMO Iowa and a Director for the Vermeer Charitable Foundation, Face It Together and Save Our Youth.
Prior to joining Wellmark in May, 2002 he was Medical Director for Vermeer Manufacturing Co. Previously, he was President of the Medical Staff of the Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Chairman of Clinical Governors of the Iowa Health System.
Dr. Andringa was appointed Medical Director for American Republic Insurance Co. in 1989 and a Director of HMO Iowa in 1985.
He received a degree from the University of Iowa and holds a MD.
