David Heimansohn

Dr. Heimansohn is a very active cardiac surgeon in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is a member of one of the largest private practice cardiothoracic surgical groups in the United States.
He currently holds the position of Vice President of Corvasc MD’s Inc., which specializes in cardiac and thoracic surgery, as well as vascular, interventional, and cardiac transplant surgery.
Dr. Heimansohn's special interests include cardiac valve repair and replacement, cardiac transplantation and surgical treatment of ascending aortic aneurysms.
He also has a special interest in less invasive valve repair and replacement techniques.
He currently is Chief of Surgery at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, which performed approximately 1000 cardiac surgical procedures in 2008.
He also serves on the board of Seton Specialty Hospital.
His current research interests include less invasive valve repair and replacement techniques.
