Prior to joining PSEG in 1986, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Northeast Utilities.
Mr. Ferland was a Chairman of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, the Metro Newark Chamber of Commerce, the Public Affairs Research Institute of New Jersey, the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations and the Electric Power Research Institute.
Previously, he was a Director of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Edison Electric Institute, the American Gas Association, the Association of Edison Illuminating Cos., the New Jersey Utilities Association, The United Way of Tri-State, The HSB Group, Inc., Foster Wheeler Corp.
and the Nuclear Energy Institute.
Mr. Ferland received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine in 1964 and an MBA from the University of New Haven in 1976.
