Eric Dorfman is currently the Director of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
He is also the President of the Linda Hall Library Foundation, a position he started in 2023.
Previously, he was the Chief Executive Officer & Director of The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and the Museum Director of North Carolina Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.
He was also a Member-Management Board of the International Council of Museums.
Dr. Dorfman holds a graduate degree from San Jose State University, an undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego, and a doctorate from The University of Sydney.
