Schopf is a Portfolio Manager, Partner & Director of Research at Tufton Capital Management LLC.

He oversees the firm’s Investment Committee and manages its analytical team.
In this role, he is responsible for managing the strategic direction of Tufton’s financial research analysis provided by the firm’s investment professionals.

He closely monitors the healthcare industry.
Prior to joining Tufton Capital Management as VP and Portfolio Manager, Mr. Schopf served as Portfolio Manager in the Trust Department of the Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company.
A proven performer, he managed money for high net worth individuals and endowments.
The experience garnered in this role positioned him well to join – and enhance – the efforts of the Tufton executive team.
He earned a BS in Finance from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from the York College of Pennsylvania.
