Prior to joining Thayer / Hidden Creek in 2008, Mr. Patena was President of Matson America Transportation Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. Prior to his appointment as President of Matson America, he founded TransAmerica in 1988.
In December of 2003, Matson Integrated Logistics acquired TransAmerica and renamed the company Matson America Transportation Services.
Prior to starting up and establishing TransAmerica, he had a successful career at P.I.E.
Truck lines and Consolidated Freightways, where he held numerous management positions at both firms.
Mr. Patena holds a BA in Business Management with a minor in Transportation from Kent State University.
