Geneviève Laforge

Ms. Geneviève Laforge is a Director at Assumption Life.
She has quickly made a name for herself within the company.
She has a sound background in both law and financial services.
In her role as corporate secretary, she develops standards and best corporate governance practices.
She also advises the president and CEO on legal matters and is responsible for providing legal services to the various departments of the Company and its subsidiaries.
Ms. Laforge holds a bachelor of civil law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke and a bachelor of common law degree from the Université de Moncton.
She was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1999 and to the New Brunswick Bar in 2004.
Ms. Laforge is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, the Association des juristes d’expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick, the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries and the Cercle des administrateurs de sociétés.
Ms. Laforge is currently following the Certification universitaire en gouvernance de sociétés program of the Collège des administrateurs (Université Laval).
