Gerry Young has been providing leadership to TimberWest and its predecessor companies for over 35 years.
Mr. Young joined Crown Zellerbach in 1969 as an Assistant Engineer in Sandspit, Queen Charlotte Islands.
In subsequent years, he held positions of increasing responsibility, including: Divisional Engineer, Sandspit; Divisional Engineer, Johnstone Straits; Manager, Sandspit; Manager, Courtenay/Johnstone Straits; Manager, North Island Logging; General Manager, Private Lands; General Manager, North Island; and Assistant Vice President, Timberland Operations.
Mr. Young was appointed Vice President, Timberland Operations in June 2005.
Mr. Young holds a Bachelor of Forestry degree from the University of British Columbia and he is a director of the Forest Engineering Research Institute of Canada.
