Jamaluddin Ahmed

Jamaluddin Ahmed is currently the Chairman of Emerging Credit Rating Ltd.
He is also a Director at the South Asian Federation of Accountants, Bangladesh Telecommunications Co. Ltd., Essential Drugs Co. Ltd., and the Central Bank of Bangladesh, where he serves as an IAS Specialist.
Additionally, he is a Member of the American Accounting Association and a General Secretary of the Bangladesh Economic Association.
He is also a Member of the British Accounting Association.
In the past, Dr. Ahmed served as the Chairman of Janata Bank Ltd.
from 2019 to 2020.
He was also a Director at Grameenphone Ltd., Janata Bank Ltd.
(2008-2013), Power Grid Co. of Bangladesh Ltd., Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd., Maksons Spinning Mills Ltd., Dhaka Water Supply & Sewerage Authority (2010-2013), Janata Capital & Investment Ltd., Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Ltd., and Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where he held the position of Head-Financial System & Human Resource Division.
He was a Partner at Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co. and served as the President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh in 2012.
He also served as the Treasurer of the Bangladesh Economic Association in 2009.
Dr. Ahmed completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Dhaka in 1978.
He also holds a doctorate degree from Cardiff Business School.
