Petherick, CFA MBA, is a Founding Partner & Portfolio Manager at NorthPointe Capital LLC.
He is responsible for many of NorthPointe’s value strategies.
His passion for the business dates back to the mid-1980’s when as a junior analyst, he convinced his superiors to let him launch a small cap equity strategy.
Since then, his competitive drive and singular determination to deliver consistent and competitive investment results have become an example for everyone at NorthPointe Capital.
Over the years, his knowledge of the financial and energy sectors has been invaluable to the success of the small/smid value portfolio strategies.
He began managing small cap value portfolios in 1993.
Mr. Petherick began his investment career at Masco Corporation as a manager of pension investments.
He left Masco to launch a small cap value strategy at Loomis, Sayles.
Mr. Petherick earned his BA at Albion, his MBA at the University of Michigan and is a CFA Charterholder.
