John joined the group in 1979 and became Managing Director of Walon Limited in 1991.
He led the management buy out in 1996 and assumed the role of Chief Executive of AutoLogic Holdings PLC at the time of the flotation.
He also assumed position of Deputy Chairman in 2002 and subsequently became Executive Chairman in May 2003.
