The firm invests mainly during the capital development phase, taking a minority stake and partnering with management to help create value in companies with strong growth potential. They also participate in LBO or pre-IPO projects in syndication with other funds, when companies are purchased or transferred. The Demeter Partners advisory board provides investment guidance to the management team.

ENGIE New Ventures invests in companies located across the globe. The firm targets companies operating in the fields of renewable power, low carbon gases, power grid infrastructure, heating & cooling infrastructure, decarbonization and energy management sectors. It participates in early stage capital requirements with an investment size of EUR 1 – 5 million. The firm takes minority interest and also takes a seat on the board of directors.
