Mr. McClendon received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas in 1953.
Mr. McClendon served as Director of Research and Portfolio Management for Funds, Inc. in Houston, Texas from 1957 to 1968.
He was Director of Research for Rauscher Pierce and Company from 1968 to 1972 when he then joined Bank of the Southwest where he and Mr. Hemphill were first associated.
Mr. McClendon moved to MSecurities in 1984 until Hourglass Capital Management was formed.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research.
