Kirk Van Helgeson

Mr. Kirk V.
Helgeson is a Chief Investment Officer at American Realty Advisors LLC.
He is responsible for overseeing all acquisition/disposition activity for the firm’s investment portfolios.
He also manages the development, implementation and oversight of ARA’s value-added strategy through one of its open-end commingled fund, as well as through separate accounts and closed-end commingled funds.
He is the Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and a member of the Management and Operations Committees.
He has over 29 years of real estate experience.
Prior to joining American Realty Advisors, Mr. Helgeson worked for AFP Properties USA, Inc. as the Investment Manager responsible for all aspects of the acquisition and disposition processes and asset management for a multi-class real estate portfolio in excess of $450 million.
Prior to that, he was a Senior Appraiser for Eichel Inc., where he was responsible for completing complex appraisal and consulting assignments encompassing a wide range of property types.
He earned B.S.
and M.B.A.
degrees from the University of Southern California.
