In 1991 Mr. Kutscher joined his son in founding Frederic T.
Kutscher Associates, Inc.
After graduating from Phillips Academy, Andover in 1945 and Yale in 1950, Mr. Kutscher attended NYU Law School and worked for Prentice-Hall in its legal and tax division before pursuing a career in publishing on the business and financial side in New York City.
After leaving New York in 1991, Mr. Kutscher and his wife built a house on Vashon Island overlooking Puget Sound.
A would-be architect and finish carpenter, he enjoys working on the house and studio where Joan, an accomplished artist, paints and teaches.
With all three of their children in the Seattle area, he feels he and his wife have taken to the Northwest "like ducks to water".
