Marcia Polese

For more than 30 years Marcia has worked with executive teams in Fortune 100 to start-ups, crafting communication strategies for marketing, advertising, positioning and brand development.
She has crafted global strategies for companies such as Codex/Motorola, Aspen Technology, PUMA USA, and British Petroleum, as well as for numerous financial, high-tech and bio-tech firms, including Aetna, MetLife, Oxigene, and Analog Devices.
Her expertise has also been instrumental in optimizing brand value and maximizing return for investors and shareholders prior to acquisition; some examples include: MediSense purchased by Abbott Labs,Gemini Genomics purchased by Sequenom, Interleaf purchased by Broadvision, JacPac purchased by Amour, AdvantageHealth purchased by HealthSouth.
Formerly president and founder of Polese Clancy — a top-ten marketing/advertising agency in Boston — she subsequently worked independently with select clients in technology, medicine and financial industries.
A phi beta kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Wheaton College, she studied at the Harvard Graduate School of Business where she tutored students in Written Analysis of Cases.
She has also studied business systems theory under MIT’s Peter Senge and the Society of Organizational Learning.
She has been listed in Who’s Who in Contemporary Authors, Who’s Who in Public Relations, and Who’s Who worldwide.
Awards include the Time/Life Achievement Award for marketing communications, BPAA and Silver Effie.
She served on the New England Council Board of Governors of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and on the board of the judge Baker Children’s Center.
She was nominated Entrepreneur of the Year by Venture Magazine and Arthur Young, and was a keynote speaker in New Media for the New England Broadcasting Association.
