Dr. Paolo Tamburini is a Chief Financial Officer at Thalìa SA. He joined Thalìa in 2004 as Head of Risk Management.
In July 2008, he was appointed CFO and was promoted to General Manager.
He and his team have developed the Risk Management framework for funds of hedge funds currently in use at Thalìa.
As CFO, Dr. Tamburini manages the risk management and operations team, comprised of a deputy CFO and 4 professionals.
He is responsible for budgeting, accounting and the relations with the Company auditor, he is responsible for the relationship with the outsourcers and along with Thalìa’s CEO, is responsible for all administrative aspects related to managing the Company.
Before that, he had been working for BSI as a Risk Manager specifically dedicated to Alternative Investments.
Prior to joining BSI in 2002, he was founder and partner of FinMetrics SA, a Swiss financial software provider company based in Geneva, specialized in the development of risk management systems.
Dr. Tamburini holds a PhD in Finance from the HEC University of Lausanne, a Degree in Business Administration and a Master Degree in Banking and Finance.
