Mr. Peter Archbold, CFA, is an Analyst at Fitch Ratings Ltd.
He is responsible for Fitch’s mining, steel, chemicals and oil & gas coverage in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
He also has direct analytical responsibility for a portfolio of metals and mining names including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, ArcelorMittal, ThyssenKrupp and Norilsk Nickel.
Prior to joining Fitch in 2006, Mr. Archbold worked for National Australia Bank in Australia and nabCapital in the UK in a variety of credit analysis, relationship management and project finance roles with a focus on the mining and steel sectors.
Mr. Archbold graduated from La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia) with degrees in Accounting and Economics.
He is a CFA charter holder, a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a member of the Association of Mining Analysts (UK).
He assists the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in the development of accounting standards for companies in extractive industries.
