CVCSI is a hands-on, medium- to long-term manager which invests in small and medium-sized, high growth, listed and unlisted Australian companies in a range of sectors including clean energy, energy efficiency, water and air purification, alternative fuels, sustainable agriculture, waste management and sustainable materials. They invest in companies that they judge to be environmentally sustainable and tend to avoid investing in early-stage companies. The firm seeks to invest in well managed companies with a track record of growing revenues and profitability without excessive reliance on debt, a unique position of strength in an industry or industry segment that confers pricing power or other quasi-monopoly benefits, immediate opportunities to expand into one or more new markets and, in the case of unlisted companies, a high potential to list on ASX or another recognized stock exchange within five years or high potential as a candidate for trade sale CVCSI acts as sole investor and co-invests with partners to avoid being excessively concentrated in one industry or investee company. They are particularly interested in Australian companies with the ability to launch their technology/products or infrastructure globally and partner with investee management to help them deliver the growth plan.
