Mr. John R.
Kushel is a Head-Portfolio Management Group & Senior Managing Director at BlackRock, Inc., a Head of the Portfolio Management Group at BlackRock Advisors LLC, a Head-Portfolio Management Group at BlackRock Finance, Inc. and a Vice Chairman-Council at The Institute of International Finance, Inc. From 2009 to 2011, he was based in London, and during that time served as Chairman of BlackRock's International Businesses, responsible for the regional management of BlackRock's businesses and operations outside the U.S.
and Canada.
Prior to that assignment, he held several other positions within the firm, including heading BlackRock’s International Institutional Business and BlackRock's Alternatives and Wealth Management Groups.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 1991, he was an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Prudential Securities.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
