Richard Fifer Carles

Richard Fifer Carles is the founder of Grupo Geo SA, which was founded in 1992.
He is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer of Azuero Mining Development SA and the President of Petaquilla Copper SA. He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer & Director of Petaquilla Copper Ltd.
from 2006 to 2008.
He also served as the Chairman of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd.
in 2009.
Additionally, he was the President of Panamanian Mining Development Corp.
from 1997 to 1999 and the President of Corp.
de Desarrollo Minero and Panama's State Mining Co. He has also served as a Director of Petaquilla Minerals Ltd.
from 1993 to 1998 and in 2002.
He was the President of Geoinfo SA from 1992 to 2006.
Mr. Fifer Carles received his undergraduate degree from Rice University and the University of Utah and his graduate degree from Tulane University (Louisiana).
