Rory Tyler

Mr. Tyler joined EdgeStone in April 2007.
Prior to joining EdgeStone, he held the position of senior client partner with Korn/Ferry International where he was involved in many successful senior level assessments and placements of board members, CEOs, presidents, COOs, CFOs and other senior technical positions for a variety of Calgary based clients.
From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Tyler held a senior officer position with Overlord Financial Inc. where he designed and implemented business plans to initiate private equity investments in the Canadian oil and gas sector.
Prior to that, he was with Merrill Lynch & Co. where he held several positions including Managing Director and Co-Head, Canadian Energy and Power Group from 1991 to 2001.
While with Merrill Lynch & Co., he was directly involved in billions of dollars of capital markets financing and merger and acquisition transactions for many of the major corporations in Calgary, Alberta including several landmark transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch & Co., Mr. Tyler was an associate with CIBC World Markets in their investment banking group and prior to that, he was a drilling engineer with Chevron Canada Resources where he assisted in developing and implementing exploration and development drilling programs in Western Canada.
Mr. Tyler holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
