Mr. Braithwaite started his career in the City in 1979 with family firm Foster & Braithwaite, where he worked for ten years and became a member of the Stock Exchange in 1985.
In 1989, he moved to Greig Middleton (latterly Gerrard) in Glasgow where he remained for 16 years before joining Smith & Williamson in 2005.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).
