Samir Kapadia

Mr. Samir Kapadia is a founding team member & a Chief Operating Officer at Rockstud Capital.
He has over a decade of experience in Indian financial markets and is responsible for assisting the Managing Partner in the overall management and fund administration.
He has been instrumental in setting up a SEBI registered Category II AIF - Hybrid Equity Fund, Category I AIF - Venture Capital (Angel Fund) & Portfolio Manager Services (PMS).
He is involved in Strategic Planning & Tie-ups – incubating new business ideas, investment products & appointment of fund service partners.
He is also responsible for establishing operating policies and procedures & assisting the firm in capital raising, marketing and branding initiatives.
Samir in his earlier roles has been responsible for equity research, generating new investment ideas and tracking the performance of existing holdings of proprietary investments at Rockstud Capital LLP (erstwhile Fortune Interfinance Ltd).
Prior to joining Rockstud Capital LLP, he has worked with ITI Securities (now The Investment Trust of India Limited group company) where he was responsible for assisting Equity Fund Manager cum Head of Research for on-going monitoring and tracking of portfolio companies while simultaneously assisting senior research analyst in investment analysis and preparation of research report.
He is a detailed-oriented individual and equity investing is his passion.
Samir is a commerce graduate with major in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management & Tax and a postgraduate diploma holder in Securities Law from Mumbai University.
He is CFA Level I Cleared from CFA Institute, USA and has various certification in Capital Market from BSE, Derivatives & FIMMDA-Debt Market from NSE, Series-X-A: Investment Adviser L1 from NISM.
