Shyam Kumar

Shyam Kumar is the Chief of Staff to super{set} founding partner Tom Chavez.
He works closely with Tom across all super{set} portfolio companies in various capacities.
His responsibilities include working with co-founders to build product roadmaps and narratives, managing and running early-stage company and board meetings, creating financial forecasts, budgeting, product pricing and packaging, and more.
Before joining super{set}, Shyam was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he focused on software due diligence, pricing, and growth strategy.
Prior to his role at BCG, Shyam was a software engineer at Apple, working on the Mobile & Messaging Apps team.
Shyam holds a B.S.
in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
He grew up in the Bay Area, and currently resides in San Francisco.
Outside of work, Shyam has a wide variety of interests, ranging from investing and sports, to foreign policy and teaching.
