Stephan Barisitz

Mr. Stephan Barisitz is a Research Economist at Österreichische Nationalbank.
He joined the firm in 1998.
His research interests include Economic monitoring of Russia, Ukraine, CIS, banking sector and financial stability analysis, and Economic History (banking in CESEE, economic history of Central Asia).
From 1986 to 1990, he was an Economist at the Vienna Institute for Comparative Economic Studies.
From 1990 to 1991, he worked as an Economist at International Business Research Marktforschungs-GmbH, Vienna.
From 1992 to 1995, he was employed as an Economist at the Austrian Institute of East and South-Eastern Europe (OSI), Vienna.
From 1995 to 1998, he worked as an Economist at Desk Russia, Ukraine, CIS, Bulgaria, Economics Department, OECD, Paris.
He gained a Doctorate in Economics at the University of Innsbruck in 1986.
