Prior to joining DE Shaw & Co., Inc. in July 2005, Mr. Foley was with State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) since June 2000.
Before that, he was the Director of Research at New York-based Pareto Partners, where he was involved with all aspects of design and management of quantitative investment products and activities.
Mr. Foley is a graduate of University College Oxford, and the London School of Economics where he earned his master's of science degree in economics.
He then went on to do research work in economics at both Nuffield and University College Oxford.
