Wayne G. Willems

Mr. Willems is a native of Chicago, Illinois.
His undergraduate education was at Western Illinois University, where he received a B.A.
degree in Business Administration in 1969.
After graduation and while working in the investment arena, Mr. Willems returned to school at Northwestern University where he received his M.B.A.
in 1974.
He was designated a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1977.
Mr. Willems has been active in serving his profession, most recently holding the office of President of the Dallas Association of Investment Analysts.
He has served as the Program Chairman as well as the Secretary-Treasurer of that organization and was also a founder of the Consumer Analysts of Dallas.
Mr. Willems has been actively involved in the investment industry since 1971.
His career began in the investment division at Northern Trust Company in Chicago, where he managed portfolios.
After leaving Northern Trust, he moved to First National Bank of Barrington where he continued to manage investment portfolios.
In 1976, Mr. Willems moved to Dallas, Texas, joining the Investment Division of Mercantile National Bank at Dallas.
This investment group was later spun out as a separate subsidiary of the holding company under the name of Mercantile Securities Corporation.
During his seven years at Mercantile, Mr. Willems's responsibilities included research on a variety of industries, with particular expertise in the healthcare and technology areas and primarily responsible for the management of a number of investment portfolios.
Mr. Willems was a member of Mercantile's four-man strategy committee.
In December 1983, Mr. Willems joined John McStay as a founding partner in Brazos Capital Management.
