Aloe is an active manager which aims to offer economic, environmental, and social returns to their investors, investing in handful of companies within each of their funds to allow them to dedicate their time to working with the management to grow the investee company. The firm typically invests EUR 5-25 million in companies which already have proven products and an interested customer base. Prior to an investment, Aloe works with their partners in China, India and Europe to develop new markets and customer opportunities including the possibility of transferring any manufacturing facilities to lower cost manufacturing centres in Asia, particularly China and India. Aloe manages the Aloe Environment Fund, a strategic private equity fund which aims to generate venture capital based financial returns by making active investments in companies working to sustain, restore and improve the global environment.
