JFL creates diversified balanced portfolios consisting of fixed income assets as well as North American and international equities. It aims to add value through longer-term asset mix positioning rather than short-term trading. For many of their portfolios, they strive to keep portfolio volatility or risk to a minimum by implementing gradual asset mix changes and often employ a “buy and hold” strategy. The firm’s style has historically emphasized buying long-term growth at a price they have deemed reasonable. JFL integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations in their assessment of quality across many of their strategies.

Coerente employs a Growth-at-a-Reasonable-Price (GARP) investment style. The firm seeks to provide a fundamental, low risk and low fee approach in building customized portfolios tailored to individual client needs. They identify quality companies with enduring businesses that are well managed as well as demonstrating good governance and sustainability. The emphasis is on large-cap companies with steady cash flows. Coerente uses internal fundamental research to properly identify and value equity candidates which meet their investment criteria. Their fixed income style is an extension of the equity research process.
