Presently, Aurelio Maccario holds the position of Group Chief Lending Officer at UniCredit SpA.

He is also on the board of UniCredit Bank Austria AG.

He previously was Chief Eurozone Economist at UniCredit Bank AG (Italy).

Dr. Maccario received an undergraduate degree from The LUISS University of Rome, a graduate degree from the University of Warwick and a doctorate from Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata.
