He previously was Professor at Peking University, Professor at China Europe International Business School, Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor at The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and Professor at Guanghua School of Management.

Dr. Xiang received an undergraduate degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University and a doctorate from the University of Alberta.
