He previously occupied the position of President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Consolidated Uranium, Inc., Manager-Business Development at Newcrest Mining Ltd., Head-Commercial, Strategy & Corporate Development at Tigers Realm Coal Ltd. and General Manager-Business Development at Tigers Realm Minerals Pty Ltd. (a subsidiary of Tigers Realm Coal Ltd.) and General Manager-Commercial at Rio Tinto Asia.

He received an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from Monash University.
