Presently, David A. Ottewell occupies the position of Chief Financial Officer & Vice President for NovaGold Resources, Inc.

He is also Member of Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.

Mr. Ottewell previously was CAO, Vice President & Controller at Newmont Corp. and Vice President & Controller of Newmont Mining Corporation of Canada Ltd. (a subsidiary of Newmont Corp.).

He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta.
