Presently, Hermann Gerlinger occupies the position of Non-Executive Director & Member-Administrative at VAT Group AG and President & Chief Executive Officer of Carl Zeiss Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH. Dr. Gerlinger is also on the board of Siltronic AG, Helmholtz-Fonds eV and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt and Managing Partner at GeC GmbH.

Dr. Gerlinger previously was Member-Management Board at Carl Zeiss AG and Chairman-Management Board at Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH.

Dr. Gerlinger received a doctorate and an undergraduate degree from Wuerzburg Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences.
