Expertise and past experience in management: Jean Charest was elected a member of parliament in the Canadian House of Commons in 1984, and then became the youngest ever member of the Canadian Council of Ministers when he was appointed, at 28 years of age, Minister for State & Youth.
He was then appointed Minister for the Environment, Minister for Industry and Vice-Prime Minister of Canada.
He held the office of Prime Minister of Quebec from 2003 to 2012.
He is a partner of McCarthy Tétrault LLP and, since 1986, member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada.
