Currently, John P. Thompson holds the position of President of John P. Thompson & Associates. Mr. Thompson is also on the board of Peruvian Metals Corp. and Member of Professional Engineers Ontario and Member of Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of BC.

He previously occupied the position of President & Chief Executive Officer for Unigold, Inc., Vice President-Resource Development at Portex Minerals, Inc., President, CEO & Inside Director at Sona Resources Corp., President of Ontex Resources Ltd. and Vice President-Exploration of MacMillan Gold Corp.

Mr. Thompson received a graduate degree and an undergraduate degree from Acadia University.
