He is also on the board of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., United Rentals, Inc. and Air New Zealand Ltd.

In his past career he held the position of President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Avis Budget Group, Inc. Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer at Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. President of Avis Budget EMEA Ltd. and President at Avis Budget EMEA Ltd. (which are all subsidiaries of Avis Budget Group, Inc.) and Senior Vice President-Global Airport Operations at UAL Corp.

Mr. De Shon received an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
