In his past career he occupied the position of Chief Financial Officer for Spark New Zealand Ltd. and General Manager-Finance & Commercial at Gen-i Ltd. (a subsidiary of Spark New Zealand Ltd.), Chief Financial Officer for Pushpay Holdings Ltd., General Manager-Group External Relations at Vector Ltd. and Chief Financial Officer & Secretary for BEL Investments NZ Ltd.

He received a graduate degree from Victoria University of Wellington.
