Tripuraneni Hanuman Chowdary founded Center for Telecommunications Management & Studies. Presently, Dr. Chowdary is Chairman of Pragna Bharati. Dr. Chowdary is also Senior Member at The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, Inc. and on the board of 6 other companies.

He previously occupied the position of Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director at Tata Communications Ltd., Chairman at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and President at The Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers.

He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Madras.
