Bayer AG è uno dei leader mondiali nella progettazione, produzione e commercializzazione di prodotti farmaceutici e agrochimici. Il fatturato netto è così distribuito per famiglia di prodotti:
- prodotti agrochimici (47,8%): erbicidi, fungicidi, insetticidi, ecc.;
- prodotti farmaceutici (38,9%): destinati alla prevenzione e al trattamento di malattie cardiovascolari e respiratorie, diabete, disturbi del sistema nervoso, ecc.;
- prodotti OTC e integratori alimentari (12,6%);
- Altro (0,7%).
Le vendite nette sono distribuite geograficamente come segue: Germania (5,2%), Svizzera (1,2%), Europa/Medio Oriente/Africa (23,6%), Stati Uniti (31,7%), Nord America (3,6%), Cina (7,7%), Asia/Pacifico (9,6%), Brasile (9,3%) e America Latina (8,1%).
