Informa PLC è specializzata nell'organizzazione di eventi e nella pubblicazione di libri, documenti e riviste. L'attività è organizzata attorno a quattro settori:
- organizzazione di mostre;
- pubblicazione di contenuti di ricerca accademica e scientifica: scienze umane e sociali, tecnologia, medicina, scienze fisiche, ecc.;
- pubblicazione di contenuti professionali e commerciali: scienze e salute, finanza, scienze giuridiche, commercio, trasporti, telecomunicazioni, ecc.;
- organizzazione di conferenze e fiere di formazione professionale.
I contenuti del gruppo sono commercializzati sotto forma di pubblicazioni cartacee, download elettronici e CD-ROM.
Il fatturato netto è ripartito per attività tra vendita di servizi di organizzazione di eventi (46%), vendita di abbonamenti (17,5%), vendita di spazi pubblicitari (7%) e altro (29,5%).
Il fatturato netto è distribuito geograficamente come segue: Regno Unito (5,5%), Europa continentale (11,4%), Nord America (49,3%), Cina (13,1%) e altri (20,7%).
