Shell plc (ex Royal Dutch Shell plc) è specializzata nella produzione e distribuzione di petrolio e gas naturale. Le vendite nette sono ripartite per attività come segue:
- raffinazione e distribuzione (71,3%): alla fine del 2020, possiede 13 raffinerie e una rete di 46.000 stazioni di servizio in tutto il mondo. Il gruppo è anche coinvolto nella produzione di energia solare;
- esplorazione e produzione di petrolio greggio e gas naturale (22,2%). Shell plc è anche coinvolta nella produzione di energia dal vento e dalle sabbie bituminose;
- produzione di prodotti petrolchimici (6,5%): olefine, prodotti aromatici, solventi, etilene, propilene, fenoli, additivi, ecc.
Le vendite nette sono ripartite geograficamente come segue: Europa (27,8%), Asia/Oceania/Africa (36,1%), Stati Uniti (28,2%) e America (7,9%).
