Starbucks Corporation è specializzata nella proprietà e nella gestione di caffetterie. Il gruppo sviluppa anche un'attività di torrefazione del caffè. Le vendite nette si suddividono per fonte di guadagno come segue:
- vendite all'interno di caffetterie gestite dall'azienda (82,3%): al 1° ottobre 2024, possedeva una rete di 21.018 caffetterie con i marchi Starbucks Coffee®, Teavana®, Ethos®, Starbucks Reserve® e Princi®;
- vendite nei negozi in licenza (12,4%): 19.181 negozi con licenza situati principalmente negli Stati Uniti (6.777), in Corea (1.980), in America Latina (1.705) e nel Regno Unito (976);
- altro (5,3%): vendite di caffè, bevande e prodotti alimentari per aziende, hotel, ospedali, compagnie aeree, ecc.
Le vendite nette sono suddivise per famiglia di prodotti tra bevande (60,5%), alimenti (18,6%) e altro (20,9%).
Le vendite nette sono distribuite geograficamente come segue: Stati Uniti (73,8%), Cina (8,3%) e altro (17,9%).
